CLASS INFORMATION

38-HOUR COURSE BREAKDOWN
30 Hour Classroom Course Cost $200
8 Hour Behind-The-Wheel Training Cost $220
Total $420

The 38-hour course includes Driver Education Handbook, Traffic law and regulations, traffic lights and markings, signs, correct and safe driving procedures, emergencies, driving hazards such as alcohol, drug abuse, weather conditions and driving offenses.

A test will be administered on the last day of class that requires a passing score of at least 80%. Students are scheduled in four, two-hour slots on different days.

CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION
All students must be at least 14 years of age and 9 months old. All students must obtain a (TIP) Temporary Instructional Permit from the DMV before starting class. Visit any DMV to get your student’s TIP card. Enrolled students must be at least 15 years of age to take a behind-the wheel instruction course. 

The legal Guardian must attend the parental meeting as mandated by the state to complete the necessary forms and receive important information before the first day of class. If you’re unable to attend a parent meeting, a ONE-ON-ONE parent meeting can be arranged.

CLASSROOM
Participants may take classroom portion of the class as much as 60 days before turning 15 years of age. 

A test will be administered on the last day of class that requires a passing score of at least 80%. Students are scheduled in four, two-hour slots on different days. Instructors can decide if students will be eligible to drive for four hours. Please note every two-hour student will have to take a 15 minute break.

8 HOUR BEHIND THE WHEEL
The state allows 120 Days for the 8-hour Behind The Wheel to completed. We strive to get each student driven within a timely manner. 

*****Enrolled students must be at least 15 years of age to take a Behind-The Wheel instruction course. (STUDENTS CAN NOT DRIVE UNTIL AGE 15) 

After a student completes their 8 hours of Behind the Wheel course, the student will be given an assessment. Student must score a 70% or higher.
